Dr. Santilli is an experienced and trusted general dentist who will help monitor your health conditions through regular cleanings and exams. Your first visit with us will include a comprehensive dental exam that screens for issues such as tooth decay, bone loss, tumors, cysts, oral cancer, and gum disease. A full periodontal examination will be performed by one of our trained dental hygienists. In the absence of gum disease, our hygienist will remove any tartar and plaque and polish your teeth.

At your first visit, Dr. Santilli and his dental hygienists will perform a complete dental exam, which includes the following services:

• Diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): These dental x-rays help detect tumors, tooth decay, cysts, and bone loss. We offer digital radiographs, as opposed to film. By using digital radiographs, radiation exposure can be reduced by as much as 90%.

• Oral cancer screening: A screening of your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
• Gum disease evaluation: Check the gums and bones around the teeth for any signs of periodontal disease.
• Examination of tooth decay: All tooth surfaces will be checked for decay with special dental instruments.
• Examination of existing restorations
• Discussion of your dental concerns
